"HONEY BROWN." CELEBRATING SO WE

"Buzzing, buzzing, we're flying !"...

It seemed that the pupils of the Cole on the day we celebrate the amagüestu .

is because we were already advert. This year the "amagüestu" would be held between hum bees and the delicious taste of honey. A perfect combination to remember and join other Asturian traditions of our land.
During the run, all classes of the College worked hard around "World of Bees and Honey" to document and learn everything possible about this fascinating subject of the beekeeping. We also do classroom work, research projects and crafts groups (almost all exposed in the Cole Library, where we did a fantastic exhibition ( click here to see pictures of the exhibition) on the subject.)
Previously we asked the families involved in the project as far as possible by providing both material and other literature and articles related to beekeeping. The end result was wonderful and a sight to behold in any room of "other major museums." The exhibition was open to the contemplation of the rest of the educational community, throughout the week .
The day before the show had benefited from the presence of a master of Gijón, a specialist in beekeeping, and that was kind enough to speak on the subject and give us a masterful talk with a slide show they obtained great.
And finally came the day of the celebration of amagüestu "...
That day we had the presence of an expert beekeeper Fernando, who came to school full of materials (including live bees in a hive speaker). So explained the lives of these insects, we showed different hives and Truébano; also brought all the tools and tools to work with bees.
also conduct various workshops in the classroom : craft, make-up of bees, making Shopping candles, honey tasting ...
After recess, we all went out to the patio, where we had fun with many traditional games : the frog, Panoya races, rope-pull, stilts, etc.
As we tried a lot of Asturian songs in music class, we stand for courses and all kinds of Cole went out to sing our colleagues (and even some parents), we applaud.
The media were also invited: the press and television. So we got cute and pretty good on camera. (See news in lanuevaespaña / avilés or elcomercio / avilés ).
To finish the day, we made a "espicha" Asturian and dessert ... CASTAÑINES DUERNU and cider.
was a great day.
